Food Marketing Institute (FMI) has increased their efforts to get Congressional action to change the FDA menu labeling regulations this year. FMI is currently seeking House Member signatures on a letter to include the Common Sense Nutrition Disclosure Act (H.R. 2017) in the year-end appropriations. They are trying to limit distribution to only those House offices that have supported the bill’s House passage, so they would appreciate any outreach that can be provided, but request that you limit your contacts to those who co-sponsored (linked here) or voted in support H.R. 2017 (linked here). They are asking to please don’t contact those that were “Not Voting – NV” or voted “Nays” (No).
